Compensation payments archive

In 2000 – 2004, the Deposit Protection Fund fulfilled its legal obligation to pay compensation for inaccessible deposits in four banks with inaccessible deposits, namely in AG Bank, a.s., Slovenská kreditná banka, a.s., Dopravná banka, a.s. and Devín banka, a.s., which were declared insolvent by the National Bank of Slovakia.

In 2012, the Fund arranged for the cross-border compensation payouts to depositors of cooperative credit union UNIBON, spořitelní a úvěrní družstvo, Ostrava, which had an organizational unit established in the Slovak Republic and whose deposits are protected by the Czech Deposit Protection System – the Deposit Insurance Fund. On 2 July 2012, the Czech National Bank declared inability of this credit union to meet its obligations due to depositors.

The Fund organised the compensation payments for inaccessible deposits in the UNIBON branch in Slovakia through Všeobecná úverová banka, a.s., during the period from 23 July 2012 to 22 July 2015. Compensation paid on behalf of the Czech Fund totalled EUR 1,836,358.42.
